Bogens handling<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
Historien starter med et d\u00f8dsfald, og det er intet mindre end vores hovedperson Wallace, der d\u00f8r af et hjerteanfald. Herefter bliver han fundet af sj\u00e6leh\u00f8steren Mei, som tager ham med til et et helt s\u00e6rligt hus med en tesalon i stueetagen. Tesalonen bestyres af Hugo, som ogs\u00e5 har en sidebesk\u00e6ftigelse, hvor han hj\u00e6lper afd\u00f8de med at acceptere de er d\u00f8de, s\u00e5 de er klar til at g\u00e5 igennem en d\u00f8r til efterlivet. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Wallace har levet et ensomt og egoistisk liv som advokat, og man kan ikke kalde ham for et s\u00e6rlig “godt menneske”. Men han har ikke v\u00e6ret ret l\u00e6nge i tesalonen, f\u00f8r han begynder at knytte sig til beboerne i huset, der, ud over Mei og Hugo, ogs\u00e5 best\u00e5r af Hugos afd\u00f8de bedstefar (Nelson) og sp\u00f8gelseshunden Apollo. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Da Wallace pludselig f\u00e5r stillet en tidsfrist p\u00e5 en uge, inden han skal g\u00e5 igennem d\u00f8ren, m\u00e5 han f\u00e5 det bedste ud af sin sparsomme tid og \u00e6ndre p\u00e5 nogle af de ting, han ikke n\u00e5ede at g\u00f8re i livet. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Han form\u00e5r at skrive originale historier, men p\u00e5 en m\u00e5de, hvor man f\u00f8ler sig fuldst\u00e6ndig tryg og hjemme i hans b\u00f8ger. Han tager fat i vigtige temaer, som sorg og d\u00f8d og blander dem med en hjertevarm k\u00e6rlighedshistorier og en stor portion humor. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
